Artist's Description

Beginning of wildflower season in Albion Basin above Alta Utah in Little Cottonwood Canyon of the Wasatch Mountain. Indian Paintbrush and other low-growing wildflowers cling to the hard, rocky soil beneath Devil's Castle peak.

From December though April each year, this location is covered by ten feet of snow.
